Take his word
Don’t feel sorry for yourself for not having a date on Valentine’s Day. Feel sorry for them because you are not their date on this special day for couples. It only means that you are still beyond the control of your emotions. After all, being single is more of a blessing rather than a regret.
-Dr. Pecson
While we were working on Valentine’s day a lot of our doctors teased us for having no dates, flowers and chocolates on our desks. But my favorite doctor, Dr. Pecson, didn’t. Instead, he gave us the bright side of surviving the day without someone.
Valentine’s Day wasn’t supposed to be for couples alone. It may be celebrated with family, friends and acquaintances or for yourself for doing a good job or accomplishing a task. There’s no such law that promulgates the 14th of February for boyfriend-girlfriends only.
As for me, it was just an ordinary day. Though not much of a celebration, our doctors were generous enough to give us some sugar rush in the mid of the day. Valentine’s day is indeed a lovely day even for workmates and bosses.
