I don’t believe in scarcity
Why is it that while others are busy looking for nursing jobs, it always finds its way to haunt me instead?
This afternoon I received a message from Asian Hospital Nursing Department saying that they’re scheduling me for an interview on Monday. I was left dumbfounded with that SMS because first, I can’t remember submitting my CV to the institution and second, I heard they are only hiring those who are with at least a year of experience. With me, I still consider myself a fresh grad since I came from batch 2011. Why would they schedule me for an interview if at first, I didn’t meet one of their requirements?
It’s kinda weird because all these nursing job opportunities came knocking at my door when I least expected it. If I’m going to pursue Medicine next school year, then these job slots would be available by the time that I left. It would be a waste of time and effort if I don’t have plans to stay. Right? Also, it would be a lose-lose situation for both parties.
Opportunities may come once in a lifetime but it doesn’t mean that you’re gonna grab all of them. For once, make a decision that will bring you a step closer to what you really love to do, to what will make you truly happy and satisfied.
Thus, I’m letting another offer (or opportunity) pass.
